Free radical damage affects how well we age.  Under stressful conditions (smoking, stress, pollution, solar radiation, etc.) our bodies are subjected to oxidative stress which produces reactive oxygen species – primary free radicals.  These free radicals are very unstable and react with our cells, negatively impacting DNA, proteins and lipids which leads to the formation of organic free radicals which are responsible for cell damage, or even cell death.‡

Antioxidant Resilience® utilizes a combination of clinically studied ingredients including Setria® Glutathione, Extramel® superoxide dismutase (SOD), and the proprietary Cell Resilience Blend™ which is a blend of high ORAC superfoods and botanicals.  These combine to help protect the body from the ravages of free radicals such as reactive oxygen species (ROS).‡

Glutathione also plays a key role in detoxification and fortifies the immune system.  Over 80,000 published studies have shown that glutathione plays a central role in good health.‡

Setria® Glutathione is a tripeptide consisting of three amino acids: glutamate, cysteine and glycine, which is found in all cells, tissues, body fluids and organs.  Glutathione is often referred to as the “master antioxidant”, but does more than simply fight free radicals.  Glutathione has the ability to regenerate other antioxidants, such as vitamins E and C, which have become unstable after neutralizing free radicals.  Glutathione supports the function of detoxifying and cleansing organs such as the liver, kidneys, and gastro-intestinal tract. This helps to eliminate toxins from the system and neutralize other toxins before they are absorbed. Glutathione also plays a role in supporting the function of white blood cells – including T cells – and supports the natural killing ability of immune cells, therefore supporting the immune system.‡

Extramel® is a concentrated melon juice extract obtained from a specific variety of cantaloupe that is patented and registered in the European variety catalog, and selected for its high antioxidant and catalase content.  It is microencapsulated in a polysaccharide and vegetable gum coating to ensure the stability in gastric juices and SOD’s bioavailability.  The microgranules also contain other ingredients which compose the antioxidant cocktail naturally found in the melon’s pulp (catalase, glutathione, vitamins, carotenoids, selenium, etc…).  Extramel® is supported by numerous studies that support its efficacy and shows that it has the best radical scavenging activity when compared against other sources of SOD.‡

The Cell Resilience Blend™ includes superfoods and botanicals such as green tea extract, pomegranate extract, grape seed extract, broccoli, kale, blueberry, apple and quercetin which provides a rich supply of water-soluble antioxidants.‡
